Where has the time gone? Luke is 9 months old as of this past Saturday, September 20th! Can you believe it? That means it's been like a good year since I've slept! HA! 9 months of his life, and the last three months of my pregnancy!
Luke is changing by the day it seems as of late. Here are some of his latest achievements:
- He can CRAWL! And boy, can he! He moves at the speed of light. He started crawling right at 8 months.
- He can pull himself up onto his knees. He really wants to pull up to stand, but the best he can do right now is up on one knee and one foot with that leg bent... an odd position for sure!
- He LOVES the dogs and can play fetch with them, as well as let Fergus out of his crate.
- His favorite things to play with are the cord to the floor lamp, the wine rack, the DVD player and anything plugged into an outlet, especially night lights and Glade Plug Ins!
- No one makes him belly laugh like his big sister, Ally. He loves her best.
- He is drinking really, really well from a cup. Today he took two feedings of formula from the cup instead of his bottle... and he LOVES his apple juice!
- HE HAS NO TEETH!!! None. At. All. And, it doesn't even look like any are on their way!
- He loves to eat... and can eat approximately 6 cubes of food in one sitting if he's having fruit and veggies. PIGGY boy. His new additions lately are chicken, blueberries, wheat, pasta, cabbage, cheerios, melon, and spinach. We are slowly adding chunks and finger food but again... HE HAS NO TEETH! :-) He also doesn't seem to grasp the pincer grasp AT ALL and most of his cheerios end up in his lap and on the floor. The dogs love it!
- He babbles "Da-da-da" all the time. He used to babble "Ma-ma" but it seems that has passed much to my dismay!
- He is as cute as can be... case in point:

And finally, he learned to WAVE!!!! Maybe he started while we were in Baltimore, but I saw it for the first time today... so I like to think it is a skill he just learned while I was watching! He waves toward himself... but he is most definitely waving. His favorite... of course... he waves at the dogs. Here he is, waving at Fergus...
Look how excited Fergus is at Luke's new-found talent! LOL! :-) It's hard to capture the wave in a picture... but I got it on video too. Of course, I can't find the cable to download video to my computer from the camera... UGH! I know I promised crawling footage some time ago too... I am so sorry (MOM!!!).
Wow... it's hard to believe that in three short months we will be celebrating his one year birthday... time goes by too fast!!!!
Now, if we could only learn to master sleeping through the night!!!!
*** Luke is wearing a Cubs onsie in all these photos... courtesy of Eli Hopson (Beth, you should SO start a blog!)... and in honor of the Cubs winning the division yesterday! Two of my favorite girls in the world were there to witness it and went out to celebrate it!! Since the Tigers suck, we can jump on the Cubbies' bandwagon!

What cute pics and updates. I did these with Grace and you will be so glad to look back on them!
Cute pics!! I was gonna say that Luke has your eyes, but when i seen your banner, your hubby's eyes are very similar too! :)
Have I told you how cute he is??? I know I have, but it's so true!! I can't wait until Ty is crawling around...I know it's more work...but I just love that stage. They did testing on him yesterday and found that his equilibrium/balance is completely off because of his ears...so probably a HUGE reason he isn't crawling yet. We'll know more on Thurs...but he seems to be doing better...he was a rocking machine this morning...I think the shots are working! Btw - our dr did mention allergies...but won't test him until 1 yr. So frustrating!!!
