Anticipation...

I leave for New York City bright and early tomorrow morning! I am so excited!!!!!!!! I am going with three girlfriends... Beth, Sandy and Jackie. They all live in Chicago... and we coordinated our flights (theirs from Chicago and mine from Detroit) to arrive at LaGuardia at exactly noon. We can all hop in a cab and drop our bags off at our hotel and hit Fifth Avenue immediately for shopping heaven!!!

It will be a whirlwind trip... we are just there through Saturday evening.... two nights. Three out of four of us have kids to get back too and a Sunday recovery day at home is always nice to have before going back to work! But, we really have three full days in the City! We plan to eat great good... see some amazing sights.... drink fabulous wine or martinis.... SHOP.... and mostly enjoy some time away, just the girls... no kids to care for... no boys to deal with. Just four fabulous girls in the City.....

I am also going to meet up with my cousin, Sarah, who lives in Brooklyn. We are going to have dinner/drinks with her Thursday at a minimum... hopefully, she will be able to join us more often... but there is that pesky work situation.... ;-)

So... today, I need to get through my workday... and evening... and PACK! I am a last minute packer.... I usually pack the morning of a trip.... but I need to be on the road by 7:30 tomorrow to get to the airport.... so I really need to make myself pack tonight. And, of course, I will stress over what to pack. So many needs for a trip like this. Comfy clothes and shoes by day for walking all over... and nicer things for dinners out! No way can I do this trip with a carry-on only. :-)
