Spring Break 2011...

Well, we didn't go anywhere THAT warm... we didn't have a beach or a pool.... but we did do a LOT on our Spring Break!!  We kicked the week off on Friday when I picked Ally up from school.... we met Jane, Adam and the girls for a celebratory "beginning of Break" dinner at Slice of Spice!  We had yummy pizza and amazing breadsticks, and, of course... BEER!  :-)  The kids were fairly well behaved....

Then, Saturday... Ally and I boarded and plane headed for St. Louis, Missouri... where we spent the next five days in Columbia visiting Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Dave! We had a nice visit.  Did lots of shopping, eating, sight seeing, pottery painting, scrapbooking, and we saw Hop the new movie!  Ally enjoyed being away... but as always, the change in routine seemed to wear on her and she had some pretty bad behavior issues.  We pushed through and made the best of it and didn't let it dampen our spirits too much.

When we got home... we spent our days going, going, going.  We went to Jump City with Grace and had a great time on Thursday.

Then, we went to Jungle Java on Friday with a whole bunch of friends... and Luke was brave after two (or was it three?) hours, and made his way into the big structure!

Then, to round out the going, going, going... we headed to a Tiger Game on Saturday!  We went to Zingermann's Roadhouse for lunch on our way to the game... then, enjoyed a GREAT game with great seats.  In my opinion anyway. Maybe not the best seats for game watching, but definitely the best seats for kids!  We were in the front row of the section right by the bullpen... so the kids loved watching the relief pitchers warm up.  And... Ally got a ball from the bullpen coach... so you cannot beat that!  It was Luke's very first game... and he loved it.  He was sooooo good... and the kids just seemed to have a really great time. We hit BW3s on our way home... where the action was packed since U of M was in the National Championship Game for hockey.  We had a great, great night.

Then, to top it all off, Sunday was GORGEOUS!!!!!  We spent most of the day outside.  Getting out the deck furniture, playing in the sandbox, playing catch, scooping poop, grilling, taking walks and scooter rides into town and getting ice cream!  It was a great, albeit fairly exhausting week.....

And I actually had to recover from your being here, too. I'm just not as young as I used to be.
